My client is looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader for their 117 place nursery in Oxford. The successful candidate must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent). You will be passionate about Childcare and demonstrate a positive attitude to fit in the team within this friendly and professional nursery. 

This position is based within the Over 3’s room and previous experience of working with this age group is essential.Nursery Room Leader responsibilities• To be responsible for providing the highest level of care for every child within the Room. • Ensuring that each child is treated as an individual and that their development needs are met on an ongoing basis. • To ensure that the room/unit operates effectively referring issues to the nursery environment promotes and upholds equal opportunity policies through diverse activities and positive language.Accountabilities• To provide a positive attitude and leadership within the room, motivating and inspiring a small team. • To communicate effectively with the nursery staff, the nursery manager and the parents to ensure that everyone is kept informed on developments within the room • Ensuring that all policies, procedures and working practices are adhered to and the nursery standards of care and development are continually delivered qualifications, training and experience required:

Personal Specification: Room Leader*Qualified to at least Level 3 in Early Years Childcare * Ideally with previous Room Leading experience, though experienced Nursery Nurses with a lot of experience of working with over 3’s will be considered.* Familiar with the EYFS Curriculum * Staff management experience * Good understanding of OFSTED * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Good team player * Good working knowledge and understanding of Children ActThis nursery provides staff uniform, pension scheme, private health insurance, free parking and many other staff benefits.Salary £15,500 - £17,000For more details please contact Kylie on 01865 764329 / kylie.gaskin@kangacrew.com
