Nursery Cook

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced cook to work within a nursery setting. You will need to be passionate about providing healthy and nutritious meals for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years with a focus on cooking from fresh. You should have experience of catering for Children including experience of managing allergies and special dietary requirements.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• To prepare and serve good quality meals for children, and wash up and clean kitchen as required
• To manage the kitchen food ordering if required
• To follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery and including all environmental health and safety procedures.
• To work as part of a team
• To ensure confidentiality at all times
You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
• Experience preparing and cooking meals for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years (Will consider candidates who have provided meals to the elderly, Hospitals or Schools)
• Food Hygiene certificate to at least Level 2
• Relevant catering qualifications would be desirable
